Route 3-3 Guide (PokéPath TD)
Route 3-3 is where many runs hit an “armor/resistance wall”—your setup looks strong, but effective DPS collapses when your damage profile is wrong or your counters don’t apply on the boss lane. This guide keeps things patch-proof: choke discipline, boss-lane uptime, and a clear pivot plan into Registeel.
TL;DR: Armor & Boss Pressure
- Low Uptime = Defeat. Treat this as a Boss Window check.
- Damage Profile matters. High Armor needs Shred or True Damage.
- Keep one flex slot. Swap it for armor/resist pressure immediately.
- Don't greed. Farm only after you can loop reliably without leaks.
Map Read & Choke Points
Step 1 Boss Lane Uptime
Focus on "Time-in-Range" for the boss.
- Main carry positioned for maximum boss lane exposure
- Support/Control overlapping that exact lane
- Don't be baited by "good looking" spots with low boss uptime
Step 2 Reliable Cleanup
Catch leaks without diluting your boss kill potential.
- Prevent slow degradation from small leaks
- Keep upgrades minimal here; focus on the Boss Killer
- Ensure it covers the exit path securely
Key Mechanics: Resist & Armor
Registeel Training Ground
Resistances
If effects don't work, pivot immediately via flex slot. Don't rebuild.
Shields
Sustained pressure + control is needed to keep them in range long enough.
Regen
Create a continuous kill zone. Even small gaps allow full heals.
Recommended Teams
A) Progression (Safe Clear)Recommended
Setup Priority
- Boss-Lane Carry
- Support/Control Overlap
- Flex Counter (Armor/Resist)
Goal
Maximize time-on-target during the boss phase. Don't worry about speed, worry about lethality.
B) Farming (Stable Loop)Advanced
Don’t sacrifice armor/resist answers for economy. If clear becomes inconsistent, revert immediately.
Positioning Checklist
Common Failure Modes
Boss Unkillable
Wrong damage profile. Pivot via flex slot instead of over-upgrading.
Counter Useless
Off-lane placement. Move it onto the boss lane.
Economy Greed
Economy replaced stability. Restore your clear core first.
