Route 3-1 Guide (PokéPath TD)
Route 3-1 is where “good DPS” stops being enough—tight turns punish bad coverage and low uptime. This guide shows how to anchor one primary choke, build a reliable cleanup plan, and keep a flex counter slot so your run stays stable across patches.
TL;DR: Coverage & Uptime Check
- One strong choke beats scattered towers. Anchor heavily.
- Tight turns reward control. Slows/stuns gain massive value here.
- Keep one flex slot. Swap it when a mechanic breaks your run.
- Fix positioning first. Adding more units usually dilutes XP.
Map Read & Choke Points
Step 1 Anchor the Turn Choke
Route 3’s turns compress enemies. Choose the bend where enemies:
- Spend key time turning (max uptime)
- Naturally clump up (best AoE value)
- Can be permanently slowed/stunned
Step 2 Reliable Cleanup Lane
Your secondary position exists for safety, not DPS race.
- Catch leaks slipping past choke
- Cover the final track segment
- Stay light on upgrades (don't steal XP)
Key Mechanics & Counters
Invisibility
Must be countered at the choke, not later.
Shields
Sustained pressure + uptime beats slow burst windows.
Regen
Build a continuous kill zone. Gaps in coverage = full heal.
Resistances
Don't one-trick. Use the flex slot to pivot damage types.
Recommended Teams
A) Progression SetupBest for First Clear
Focuses on safety and reliability over speed.
Core Composition
- Main Carry (Anchored at Turn)
- Support/Control (Max Uptime)
- Flex Counter (Swap as needed)
Upgrade Priority
B) Farming SetupOnly After Stability
Add economy only if it doesn’t reduce counter coverage. Keep your clear core intact.

Common Failure Modes
Leaking Randomly
Usually a coverage gap at turns. Move units before blindly adding more.
Worse After Upgrades
Upgrade dilution. One strong carry beats three medium ones.
Useless Counter
Placed off-lane or low uptime. Reposition it onto the choke lane.
