Ampharos Guide (PokéPath TD)
Ampharos is your reliable stun control: it’s one of the best tools for stopping fast leaks and clumping enemies at a choke so your AoE and DPS can actually do their job.

Why It Matters
A single control slot often fixes runs more efficiently than rebuilding the whole team. Stuns provide density usage out of AoE moves and buy time for boss DPS.
When to Pick Ampharos
1. Fast Waves
When you are losing to leaks before your DPS ramps up. Ampharos stops "Runners" cold.
2. Holding the Zone
When your map has one good choke and you need to hold enemies there for as long as possible.
3. Farming Uptime
When farming loops need more time-on-target for economy hits to register.
Best Placement
- Best Choke: Put Ampharos at the best choke, not "somewhere central."
- Maximize Overlap: You want the stun to land where multiple towers overlap (so stun time becomes damage time).
- Stun vs Slow: If you have both, slow usually goes slightly earlier, stun at the "center" of the kill zone.
Team Building Patterns
A common stable pattern:
- 1. Carry DPS (Boss/Leaks)
- 2. AoE / Wave Clear
- 3. Control (Ampharos)
- 4. Control (Corsola) or Counter Slot
- 5. Utility Counter (Invis/Shields)
Remember: keep a stable core (2–4 units) and rotate 1–2 slots to answer what the route is testing.
Key Synergies
C
Corsola
Slow + Stun creates a "pseudo-freeze" at the choke. Excellent vs rush waves.

Persian (Farming)
Stun extends hit windows so the economy core gets more Pay Day attacks in.

Weavile / Boss Focus
Stun prevents bosses and leaks from slipping through the end of the track.
Common Mistakes & Fixes
- Using stun to replace counters
- If the wave is invisible, stun won’t matter if you can’t target it—reserve the invis answer slot.
- Placing off-choke
- If Ampharos doesn’t have high uptime, it feels “weak.” Move it to the main kill zone.
