Status Effects ("Prejudices")

Mastering "Prejudices" (Stun, Slow, Burn, Poison) is the key to unlocking the full potential of your team.

What does "Prejudices" mean?

In PokéPath TD, the term "Prejudices" is used in tooltips to refer to the four main negative status effects: Burn, Poison, Slow, and Stun.

When an upgrade says it "ignores prejudices" or "spreads prejudices", it is talking about these specific status ailments.

The 4 Core Effects

Poison

Role: Stacking Damage Pressure.

Best for high-health targets (Bosses). The longer they are poisoned and the more stacks you apply, the faster they melt.

Burn

Role: Consistent Damage Pressure.

Great for long fights. It ticks for damage over time, preventing regeneration and shields from recovering.

Slow

Role: Crowd Control (High Uptime).

Increases "Time-on-Target". Slowed enemies stay in range of your towers for longer, taking more total hits.

Stun

Role: Hard Stop (Choke Points).

Briefly stops movement entirely. Best used at choke points to clump enemies together for AoE attacks.

Spread Rules

Some units have the ability to "Spread Prejudices" effectively copying the status effects from their target to nearby enemies.

How it works:

  • Burn / Stun / Slow: When you hit a target with these statuses, the effect is copied to nearby enemies.
  • Poison (Special Rule): Poison spread is LIMITED. It only applies 1 stack of poison to nearby enemies, not the full stack count of the main target.
