Invisibility (Mechanics & Counters)
Invisibility is one of the most common run-enders. Learn how to target these elusive threats before they leak.
What it is
Some enemies possess the Invisibility trait, making them untargetable by standard attacks. They will walk right past your strongest DPS units as if they aren't there.
They require a specialized “counter role” to either damage them directly or reveal them for your team.
Why you lose
- Too late to react: Waiting until you see leaks to build a counter is usually fatal.
- Wrong coverage: Placing your revealer at the end of the track instead of the start.
- Greeding damage: Skipping the utility slot to buy more raw DPS that can't hit anything.
Counter Roles
The "Invis Answer Slot"
Every team needs one flexible utility slot. When you identify an invisibility wave, this slot must be filled with a unit that can reveal stealth or has "true sight".
Strategy Rule: Keep your Core DPS and Control units. Only swap out your 4th or 5th slot (Economics/Flex) for the Invis counter.
Placement Tips
- Front-load your detection: Place your invis answer near the start of your main kill zone.
- Maximize Uptime: If the unit reveals enemies, ensure it covers the longest choke point.
- Don't hide it: Don't place it in a corner; give it a central view of the path.
Swap Triggers
- Repeated Invis Waves: If you see two invis waves close together, lock in your counter role permanently.
- Invis + High Pressure: If the wave is also fast/tanky, prioritize Control alongside your Invis counter. Don't sell your slows!
