Counter Builds (Swap-Ready Templates)

Don't let one mechanic end your run. Keep your core, swap your flex slots.

The Golden Rule of Counters

Reserve 2-4 slots for your Core (Carry + Support).
Rotate 1-2 Flex slots to answer the current wall.
Never sell your entire board just to counter one wave.

Invisibility Counter

When: Enemies leak without being targeted.

What to Swap
  • Add 1 Revealer unit (removes Invis).
  • Or Add 1 Ground-target AoE (Can hit without targeting).
Placement: Place Revealers at the very start of the track.

Shield Pressure

When: Health bars are grey/protected.

What to Swap
  • Add Multi-hit / Fast Attack units (shred layers).
  • Remove slow, heavy hitters (bad against layers).

Anti-Regen

When: Boss health goes back up.

What to Swap
  • Add Status Pressure (Burn/Poison) to offset healing.
  • Add Permaslow to keep them in range.
Strategy: "Time on target" is more important than burst here.

Resistance Pivot

When: Status effects (Slow/Stun) fail.

What to Swap
  • Pivot to Raw Damage.
  • Swap Elemental types (e.g., Fire → Water) if map allows.

  • Pause the game before the next wave starts.
  • Check your active unit count (X/10).
  • Identify the weakest link on the current map (Low damage? Wrong range?).
  • Sell that unit to free up a slot.
  • Buy the specific counter needed for the next wave.
