Counter Builds (Swap-Ready Templates)
Don't let one mechanic end your run. Keep your core, swap your flex slots.
The Golden Rule of Counters
Reserve 2-4 slots for your Core (Carry + Support).
Rotate 1-2 Flex slots to answer the current wall.
Never sell your entire board just to counter one wave.
Invisibility Counter
When: Enemies leak without being targeted.
What to Swap
- Add 1 Revealer unit (removes Invis).
- Or Add 1 Ground-target AoE (Can hit without targeting).
Placement: Place Revealers at the very start of the track.

When: Health bars are grey/protected.
What to Swap
- Add Multi-hit / Fast Attack units (shred layers).
- Remove slow, heavy hitters (bad against layers).
Mistake: Using snipers against multi-layer shields.

When: Boss health goes back up.
What to Swap
- Add Status Pressure (Burn/Poison) to offset healing.
- Add Permaslow to keep them in range.
Strategy: "Time on target" is more important than burst here.

What to Swap
- Pivot to Raw Damage.
- Swap Elemental types (e.g., Fire → Water) if map allows.
Note: Don't force a status build against immune enemies.

- Pause the game before the next wave starts.
- Check your active unit count (X/10).
- Identify the weakest link on the current map (Low damage? Wrong range?).
- Sell that unit to free up a slot.
- Buy the specific counter needed for the next wave.
