How to Play Pokemon Sapphire
Your Mission: Journey across the Hoenn region, catch a wide variety of Pokémon, train them to become stronger, challenge powerful Gym Leaders, and ultimately become the Pokémon League Champion!
Taking Command: Use the Arrow Keys for movement. Press Z to Confirm/Interact, and X to Cancel/Open Menu. Hold Shift to Speed Up the game. Use CTRL for emulator-specific save/load states.
Reading the Battlefield: Pay attention to your character in the overworld and your Pokémon's health bars during battles. Read the text boxes at the bottom for conversation and battle info.
